Discover Watchet harbour
The cottage is located just above the harbour and center of the ancient fishing village of Watchet. The harbour and all amenities are within a five minute walk. There are several boutique shops, country pubs selling great food and local ales. There is also a fantastic fish and chip shop, Indian restaurant, and Chinese take away, so if you don’t feel like cooking you have many options.

Things to do in the local area
There are several interesting museums in Watchet including the Watchet Market House Museum and the Watchet Boat Museum. The Steam Train as part of the North Somerset Steam Railway passes through the village, it's recommended as a great family day out. You will also find a wide array of family activities depending on the kind of things you like doing.

Beaches and Lakes
There is a beach in Watchet just a short walk from the cottage. Within 30 - 45 minutes’ drive surfers will also find the UKs’s leading surf beaches of Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe.

Within 20 minutes from Watchet you can also visit Wimbleball lake a large and beautiful inland reservoir providing a wide array of water sports activities for all, including kayaking, canoeing, sailing, fishing and paddle boarding, shore based activities include archery and a high ropes course.
